What is Minocin MR
Minocin MR is the oral form of minocycline, a second-generation tetracycline that works on the ribosomal components of bacterium and inhibits protein synthesis to destroy them and bring the inflammation down in acne-prone skin.
Animal studies have shown minocycline, the chief ingredient of Minocin MR, to have high blood-brain barrier protection and exhibit neuroprotective properties.

In case you forget a dose, use it in the next slot. Do not overdose on the medication to make up for the mixed dose.

Side-effects
Dizziness is one of the chief symptoms associated with the use of Minocin MR, which is gradually reversed within a few days. Other side effects associated with Minocin MR are gastric disturbances, loss of appetite, loss of hair, and increased sensitivity to sunlight.
Rarely, Minocin MR can give rise to pigmentation when used long-term or discolored spots in the body.

Drug Interactions and Contraindications
Minocin MR cannot be used by everyone and is contraindicated in the following conditions
- People allergic to minocycline or other ingredients of Minocin MR
- In children less than twelve years of age
- In pregnant or breastfeeding women
- In people with stomach or liver complications
- Minocin should not be used concomitantly with medications like antifungals, anticoagulants, isotretinoin, and diuretics.
